Strawberry smoothies are one of those simple pleasures in life to me. This smoothie is very closely based on Sommer’s recipe from A Spicy Perspective. Her secret ingredient to great smoothies is adding jam, so I added some of the strawberry freezer jam I made a few weeks ago to this smoothie. It makes it out of this world.
Yield: Serves 2
Simple Strawberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 2 cups frozen berries
- 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
- 1 cup milk
- 2 – 3 tablespoons lemon, lime or grapefruit juice (I’m partial to grapefruit in this smoothie)
Directions:
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
