Looking for a stuffing recipe a little different?
Yield: Serves 4
Apple Fennel Stuffing
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup chopped apple
- 1 cup chopped fennel bulb
- 1 box (6 oz) Betty Crocker™ Homestyle Stuffing turkey flavored mix
- 1 1/2 cups water or turkey stock
- 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
- In small skillet or saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Cook apple and fennel in butter, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender.
- In large bowl, toss apple mixture, stuffing mix, water and poultry seasoning until combined. Spoon into baking dish.
- Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until golden brown and thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with parsley.
