Grilled Steak with Tomato Mushroom Sauce

Grilled Steak with Tomato Mushroom Sauce

By Angela McGowan

Here’s another grilled steak recipe I made a few days ago. This one is a simple grilled sirloin. I topped it with a tomato mushroom sauce that I cooked in a cast iron skillet on the grill. It was super simple, and I didn’t even have to turn on the stove and heat up the kitchen.

Yield: 4 servings

Grilled Steak with Tomato Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 sirloin steaks
  • salt and pepper or grill seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups sliced baby bella mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onions
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat grill. Add seasonings to steak and grill to desired doneness.
  2. While steaks are cooking, add olive oil, mushrooms, tomatoes, sliced onions and Worcestershire sauce to a skillet on the grill or stovetop. Cook over medium heat until mushrooms and onions are tender, about 15 - 20 minutes.
  3. Serve mushroom tomato sauce over steaks.
