Here’s another grilled steak recipe I made a few days ago. This one is a simple grilled sirloin. I topped it with a tomato mushroom sauce that I cooked in a cast iron skillet on the grill. It was super simple, and I didn’t even have to turn on the stove and heat up the kitchen.
Yield: 4 servings
Grilled Steak with Tomato Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 sirloin steaks
- salt and pepper or grill seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups sliced baby bella mushrooms
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup thinly sliced onions
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
- Preheat grill. Add seasonings to steak and grill to desired doneness.
- While steaks are cooking, add olive oil, mushrooms, tomatoes, sliced onions and Worcestershire sauce to a skillet on the grill or stovetop. Cook over medium heat until mushrooms and onions are tender, about 15 - 20 minutes.
- Serve mushroom tomato sauce over steaks.
