Have you ever thought about using fruity pebbles instead of rice krispies to make those easy treats. Here I have used Fruity Pebbles and a flower cookie cutter to make these cute kid-friendly springtime treats. Let your kids add some different colored decorator icing to them to make them even cuter.
Yield: Serves 4
Springtime Flower Treats
Ingredients:
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 – 10 oz Bag Marshmallows
- 6 cups Fruity Pebbles
- Nonstick spray
- A Flower Cookie Cutter
- Decorator Icing in different colors (I used Wilton ready to use in a tube)
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan. Add marshmallows. Melt over low heat and add cereal. Mix until well combined.
2. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray. Spread cereal over a cookie sheet, about 1 inch thick. Either press down with hands or spatula sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
3. Let cool, then cut out flower shapes
4. Decorate with kids using icing.
Makes 5 large flowers
